How to Apply Online on CEO J&K Website
To cast your vote in the coming J&K assembly elections, you need to be registered voter and have your name in the voter list of your constituency. You can apply online for inclusion of your name to the voter list. To do so, just visit www.ceojk.nic.in which is the official website of the Chief Election Officer’ office in Jammu and Kashmir. On the website’s homepage, you can easily see the option ‘Online Registration‘(on the right side of the page). You simply have to click it. Then you would be taken to the CEO J&K website login page, where you have to enter your username and password along with the security verification answer(very easy arithmetic sum). After this you can click ‘login‘, which in turn would give you access to the online version of the voter registration form no. 6. If, however, you are not already a registered user on the CEO J&K website, you can click the ‘New User! Sign Up!‘ option present on the login page, to register yourself and hence receive the login details required to access the online voter registration form in Jammu and Kashmir. Once you click ‘New User! Sign Up!’, you would be taken to the registration page. To register, you simply have to provide your correct and valid mobile phone number and solve the security verification sum. After click register, you would then instantly receive the password on the mobile number you entered. You can then go back to the ‘Online Registration‘ page on the CEO J&K website and enter your username and password to access the online form for voter id card registration. How to Download CEO J&K Voter Lists?
If you wish to access the J&K electoral rolls to search your or your family’s name in them, you can very well download these voter lists from the CEO website i.e ceojk.nic.in To do so, just visit the mentioned web address. On the home page, you would find an option that says ‘Download Electoral Rolls‘. Upon clicking this option, you would be taken to a page where you have to select: –
- Report Type. That is, whether you wish to download AC wise or PS wise electoral rolls of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Language. You can choose the language in which you want to view the electoral rolls. You can choose between English, Hindi or Urdu.
Once you select the desired options, you would have to select the district and PS/AC whose voter lists you wish to access. Then just click on ‘Get Report’ to receive the desired Jammu and Kashmir electoral roll.
How to Check Name in J&K Voters’ List?
You can also simply search your name in the J&K voter list of your constituency, by clicking in the option ‘Search Your Name‘ on the CEO J&K website. In this way, you don’t need to download the voter list itself but you can simply check whether your name exists in the voter list of your constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, by entering your voter details on the search page. After you enter the following details on the search page, the servers of CEO J&K would search your details and show you the results that would help you confirm the presence of your name. The details you need to enter, to search your name are: –
- Language(Choose from English, Hindi or Urdu). Please note that Hindi search is only valid for Udhampur, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi districts.
- District Name(Optional).
- Assembly Constituency(Optional)
- Polling Station(Optional).
- Name/Part of name starting with OR J&K Voter ID Card Number(An is a many one of these is mandatory).
