Applying a Voter ID Card Online is very simple. All that you need is to simply fill a form Online, Submit it Online, wait for the official to Visit your place and after verification is done, your Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) will reach you in a month. How To Apply For Voter ID Online 2016

  • Go to the Election Commission of India’s Online Portal for Voters, National Voters Service portal (NVSP).

Click here to go to the website.

  • Click on Apply Online for Registration of new Voter.
  • You will be redirected to Online form6.

or Click here to go to Online form6 directly.

  • If you are a overseas Voter, click on Apply Online for Registration of Overseas Voter.
  • Then you will be redirected to Online form6a.

or Click here to go to form6a directly.

  • So briefly, form6 is for a New Voter residing in India and form6a is for New Overseas Voter. (Overseas Voters are those Indian Citizens who are living in a foreign country and not possessing the citizenship of that foreign Nation)

How To Fill Form 6 For Voter ID Online 2016

  • On the top of the page, select your Languages. The default languages are English and Hindi.
  • Select your State and Assembly or Parliament Constituency
  • Enter Your Full name and surname in the respective boxes without mistakes.
  • Select your gender and Date Of Birth or Age.
  • Enter the details of your Place of Birth.
  • Enter Father’s name or Mother’s name or Husband’s Name and type the relation with them in respective fields.
  • Enter your Complete Address with Pincode. (Current address)
  • Enter your Mobile Number and email ID.
  • Enter the details of the member’s of you Family who were already issued EPIC.
  • Upload your Photograph, Identity Proof and Address Proof.
  • Check the declaration and fill the date and place and click on Submit.
  • Thats it, your application for registration of your Name in Electoral rolls is submitted successfully.
  • After few days, the Booth Level officer will visit you place to verify the Details with originals. After successful verification, your Voter ID Card will be generated and will be sent to you with in a month or two.

How To Fill form6a To Get Voter ID Card 2016 For Overseas Voters

  • Form6 and form6a are almost same. In form6a in addition to the above details in form6, you are supposed to fill the details of your Passport, Visa etc. Let us see how to fill form6a to get Voter ID Online 2016.
  • After filling the form till the Address field, Enter your passport details like Passport Number, Place and Date of issue, date of Expiry of the Passport.
  • In the next field enter the details of your Visa.
  • Select the purpose of you stay in Foreign country.
  • Enter the full residential and official address in the country where you are living currently.
  • Upload photograph and Valid pages of you Passport.
  • Check the declaration and submit the application by clicking Submit.
