ABP news recently conducted a snap poll to know the preferences of the Delhi voters for their choice of Chief Minister. This poll may or may not reflect their choice of the political party for which they are going to vote for, in the coming Delhi Assembly Elections 2015. So below is a visual representation of the possible Chief Minister candidates for AAP, BJP and Congress for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2015. You would also find the percentage of people who find each of the Chief Minister candidates as their preference for the actual Chief Minister of Delhi(as predicted by a snap poll conducted by ABP news).
Delhi Assembly Elections 2015 take place on 7th Feb 2015, and the accuracy of the snap poll would also be known on 10th Feb 2015 when the results are announced and the name of the actual new Chief Minister of Delhi would also be known. Interestingly, today i.e. on 21st January all the 3 mentioned Chief Ministerial candidates filed their nomination papers. The name of the constituencies(in which the Chief Minister candidates are contesting elections) are also mentioned on the presented infographic.
Hence, it could be seen that Delhi’s new Chief Minister would probably be Arvind Kejriwal or Kiran Bedi or Ajay Maken depending upon the result of the Delhi Assembly Election 2015 which would be announced on 10th February 2015. Arvind Kejriwal is going to contest from the New Delhi constituency, Kiran Bedi from Krishna Nagar(BJPs winning seat since 1993) and Ajay Maken to contest the election from the Sadar constituency. All these candidates have been carefully allotted their seats so that the chances of losing for a Chief Minister candidate are low.
Nevertheless, the ultimate power is in the hands of the voters of Delhi. Let us hope that this time too, voters turn up in large numbers to cast their votes and make their opinion count.
