According to the latest revised electoral list, there are a total of 22,878,767 voters, with 11,919,652 women (52%) and 10,959,115 men (48%). There are 20,758 polling booths in 11,662 polling locations in the state. So, the 2015 Kerala Assembly elections are round the corner and you would obviously want to vote because you know that your vote counts and could make a difference or the difference. So, if you don’t have a Voter ID card, do not worry and here’s how you could get it.
How to apply for Voter ID Card Kerala?
Voter ID Card Application in Kerala is a simple process. Have a look –
STEP 1- Online Application:

Open the Following link for Online Voter Registration:

Click on E-registration on the top
C.
Select ‘Self‘ and then click on ‘Proceed‘
STEP 2
A. Select your ‘District of Residence‘
Type your ‘Date of Birth‘. If you don’t know your Date of birth then, click on ‘Don’t know your exact DOB’ and enter your age.
Enter ‘Voter ID Card Number of your family member/nearest neighbour included in the current electoral roll of the new place of residence’
B. Choose ‘Yes‘ or ‘No‘ for the following:
‘Do You Have an Elector Photo Identity Card (EPIC)?’
‘Are You a Keralite residing abroad (Non-Resident Indian)’
C. Click on ‘Proceed to Step 2’
STEP 3
A. Enter ‘Voter ID Card Number of your family member/nearest neighbour included in the current electoral roll of the new place of residence’
B. Choose ‘Relation to Applicant’
C. Click on ‘Proceed to Step 3’
STEP 4
A. Fill in the detailed form with all your details.
B. After filling the form and before submitting you must read and accept the affidavit, for which you have to click on ‘Before saving the Application You must read and accept Affidavit’ at the bottom of the form.
C. Enter the Captcha code and click on ‘Proceed‘
And *voila* you are done!
Generally within the next few days, a/an State/Election Commission representative should visit your home to verify your Address and submitted details during the filling up of Online Voter Registration Form. After verification of all your details you should receive your Voter ID card at your place.
If you don’t get the Voter ID card within 6 months of Applying you should approach the Office of Electoral Officer along with APPLICATION ID(that you received via text)to seek the reasons/clarifications. You can also file an RTI with this application number.

How to Duplicate voter ID card Kerala?
If you have lost your Voter ID Card or it has got damaged then, download and print the the Form 002. Click here to download the form for Duplicate Voter ID Card Kerala.
You will have to file an FIR first and you will have to submit it along with the documents in order to be able to get a duplicate voter ID card.
Complete the form and submit it to the BLO officer and you will be receive the duplicate Voter ID after the verification process is complete.

If you want to remove a name in case of a death, there are two ways of doing this:
Offline way of doing this:
FORM7 has to be filled and submitted to the ERO of your Assembly Constituency
Online way of doing this:
FORM7 has to be filled and submitted online
If you have shifted to a new constituency within the same state and want to remove your name then, you’ll have to fill FORM6.
