Basic Information to be known as voters:

1. Electoral Roll: It is a list which consists of the names of the Indian citizens who are eligible to vote. The roll is prepared by Assembly Constituency. The roll is subdivided into parts for each polling booth.

2. The Electoral Roll updation: Even though the final Electoral Roll has been published, citizens are free to register the applications. Your names can be registered till the last date of nominations by the candidates, be it general election or bye election according to the Election Commission of India.

3. Recent Completion of 18 years: Revision of electoral rolls takes place every year thus giving an opportunity to those who have completed 18 years in the particular year. It can be done through the booth level officer or an Electoral Registration officer or through an Assistant Electoral Registration officer.During the non revision period, it is done through the Electoral Registration Officer.

4. Enrollment: It can be done only at one place, especially where one resides. In case if done more than once, it is punishable under the Section-31 of R.P.Act, 1950.

5. Documents to be provided: Age Proof documents, Proof of citizenship and proof of Ordinary Residence for inclusion of name.

6. Overseas Elector: If the citizen is absent in the country due to employment, education etc in another country.  One should not have acquired the citizenship of the country or should not have included the name in the Electoral Roll of that country.

Online Registration on CEO Manipur website:

Form 6:

1. Click the link to open the official website of CEO Manipur

2. Click the Online Registration tab.

3. Click Form 6 to include your name on the Electoral Roll.

4. The registration form opens in a new tab.

5. Under the Assembly Constituency Information, provide your State name, name, part number and section number of the Assembly Constituency.

6. Next, Applicant’s  information such as name, surname, age on the 1st of January, date of birth and gender are to be given.

7. Also Relationship information should be furnished: Relationship type, name and surname (if present).

8. Ensure to give your address properly. It asks you: House/Door number, Street/Area/Locality/Mohalla/Road, Town/Village, Post Office, Pincode, Police station /Tehsil / Taluka / Mandal, District and Phone Number.

9. Present the details of two family members whose name is already present in the Electoral Roll. Name, relation type with you, Part Number of the Constituency, Serial Number in the part and their EPIC cards.

10. Under the Declaration, choose the one of the declarations that suits you by carefully reading it.

11. Ensure you have filled all the details correctly and then press Submit button.

The online registration for form 7, form 8 and form 8A is in the disabled mode, which would be activated after the publication of Electoral Roll.

Offline Registration:

The offline registration is quite easy. All you need to do is to get the form in the Electoral Office, fill it up and submit in the office itself.

3. Choose District and Assembly Constituency from the drop-down list boxes. Then, click Show.

4. The name of the BLO, Polling station and Polling station building appear. You can also click the View link to fully see the details of the Booth Level Officer.

3. The map of the State with the districts is shown.
